*UPDATE*
We hope this update finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we are all looking forward to resuming our normal routines and continuing care. While much has changed, one thing remains the same: our commitment to your safety. Our office will be opening on May 11, 2020 with several additional safety measures.
Infection control has always been a top priority for Main Street Dental Care and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We’d like to share more about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep our patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date with new rulings and guidance and we do this to make sure that our procedures are current and in accordance with each agencies’ recommendations.
You may see some changes in our office when it’s time for your next appointment, each of which has been set in place to protect our patients and staff. For example:
Facemasks are required (or cloth face coverings) for everyone entering the dental setting (dental healthcare personnel [DHCP] and patients), regardless of whether they have COVID-19 symptoms.
No Extraneous people in the clinic. Only the patient and (if necessary) the parent or driver are to enter the clinic. Friends, family members or others can wait in the car or at home.
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to review some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and throughout the office for both staff and patient use.
You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, so as to limit possible cross-contamination of germs.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that fewer appointment options are available and offered for scheduling appointment and we apologize for this inconvenience.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at (972)-475-3995 or visit our website at www.mainstreetdentalrowlett.com
Thank you for your continued support as our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back!
Sincerely,
Dr. Marcos Villarreal and Dr. Barry Butler
